My wife and I are "Cyberagents" for Willow, as independent contractors, and have been doing so for about 5 months. We take emergency roadside assistant calls. We can work in 1/2 hour increments. I do it part time, and my wife does it full time. There are initial steps in the process, but it has worked out well for us, and is convenient. It also solved the expensive babysitting issue. And for myself - I can wake up on a Saturday with messy hair, log on the phone and work a few hours, and who know?

My job is in Vancouver, BC & I live in Florida. Sometimes I miss actually going to an office and seeing my co-workers every day. I think if I had the choice, I'd rather work for a local company and work on site a few days & telecommute a few days a week.

Hi folks --

I'm living in a city where I don't really know anyone -- I moved here b/c my partner got into graduate school. I love being able to telecommute; it means that my time is my own, and that I can work when I want, where I want.

But doesn't it get lonely working from home sometimes? Don't you miss the social interaction that can happen in an office environment? Do you make sure that you shower and make yourself presentable every morning, just to stay in practice? Do you have videochat meetings? (Thank you, iChat!) Do you work from coffeeshops or bookstores, where there are people around?

Mostly, I'm just curious -- for those of you that already telecommute full time, what do you do to keep yourself socially active?

My business is telecommute!

Serious men and women wanted for my winning team! ...

Here are some questions you may want to ask when seriously considering a home-based business.

Is it a no risk, money back guarantee program? Ours is.

Does it involve selling products, storing inventory, managing money, and/or distribution? Ours doesn’t.

Is it a reputable company that is well established and recognized? Ours is.

Is it truly a work from home based business? Ours is.

Does your income depend on a multi-level marketing strategy? Ours doesn’t.

Is there a training process which is easy to duplicate and understand? Ours is.

Do you have to pay for more training and support after you sign up? Ours doesn’t.

I am looking for individuals that are interested in a business ... not a job. There is a big difference. In a job you get paid for showing up whether you work hard or hardly work, however, a business requires a commitment to spend 1-3 hours a day or more of productive work. A job will give you a minimal raise every 6 months to a year, a business will double its monthly gross through consistency.

I will not try to sell you anything or give you any hype. I will just give you the facts so that you can decide for yourself if you want the opportunity to work for yourself with unlimited income potential and the freedom to set your own hours for work and play.

If you are interested in this opportunity, please request more information from my site so I can reach you to set up an appointment... http://www.momswin.com/achieveit

A few quick details about our home business:

--no selling, no inventory, no delivering, no door to door

--no collecting money or chasing friends and family

--we work mainly using our computers, email, and the internet

--we do not contact people who did not contact us first (respectful of privacy - non invasive)

--we do not have a large investment with this business

--unbeatable support and training - in business FOR yourself but never BY yourself

--We are NOT a pyramid scheme or MLM (Multi-Level Marketing)

http://www.momswin.com/achieveit

Let's talk TODAY!

Should we advertise?

Okay... this tribe is struggling.

Is it the subject — too esoteric, too niche, does it need a "professional" moderator? Or is it that we just need more people?

If it's the latter, should we try a small LISTINGS ad campaign?

Comments?

What's the difference ...

What's the difference between this tribe and Glocal Conversation :

http://glocalconversation.tribe.net ?

I'm not trying to suggest that one is redundant, just trying to work out the subtle differences.

What is a good strategy to get some telecommute work ?

Any ideas or tips ? I am a software engineer and worked in different parts of the software stack from drivers to applications in Java. I have tried to see if I could get some good telecommute work but the only recruiters I seem to attract are the ones who offer "equity-only" type work. Is that fairly common these days ? I am sure there are people who are working for $$.

Best,
Manoj
